Coming off a successful start to the swimming season, the Humboldt Hammerheads continued their momentum in Regina on June 24.

With 32 swimmers representing the club, the Hammerheads earned 368.5 points to place third overall at the meet, behind Estevan and Regina.

For the second straight meet, Jay Eichorst broke a provincial record, doing so in the 50-meter backstroke for 13-14 year old boys. Eichorst's new record surpassed one set in 1993.

Charlize Parish was the lone swimmer to earn an aggregate medal for the Hammerheads, securing gold in the 11-12 girls category.

The Hammerheads will next dive into the pool on July 8 in Rosetown and July 9 in Biggar.
