Fifteen men's curling teams hit the ice at the Wadena Curling Club, as the first Farmers Edge SCT Superspiel took place December 8-10.

The Sask Curling Tour brought the event to Wadena with over $12,000 on the line.

Two teams out of the Wadena Curling Club competed over the weekend.

Scott Comfort's foursome went 3-2 over five games, eventually losing to Jeff Hartung in the page playoffs. Comfort began the weekend on a winning note, defeating Ryan Armstrong 7-3.

Langenburg's Jeff Hartung won the Superspiel in Wadena.An 8-2 loss to Michael Carss sent them down to the 'B' event, where they eventually qualified for the playoffs with wins of 5-2 and 6-5 over Lloyd Fell and Dale Craig.

The loss to Hartung who eliminate them from contention.

Junior curler Jayden Bindig and his team, which includes Humboldt's Braden Fleischhacker, went 1-3 at the event, dropping their first two games to Carl deConick Smith (3-1) and Lloyd Fell (5-4).

Bindig would defeat Aron Hershmiller 6-1 before falling 5-1 to Michael Carss in the final game before playoffs.

Hartung would go on to win the event, defeating Swift Current's Jeff Chambers 8-1 in the championship.
