The Lanigan Lazers have claimed first place through the regular season in the Horizon Central Athletic Association's Senior Girls Basketball league.

Lanigan defeated Watrous on Tuesday to secure the top spot.

The Lazers' only loss in the regular season came on February 7 to Humboldt in a 44-33 setback.

They will host HCI in a re-match on February 27 for the league championship.

In Senior Boys play, Humboldt hosts Lanigan on Thursday.
