The Humboldt Golf Club has a new manager.

Chad Kees is now on the job at the course after stints at Waskasui and Elk Ridge.

He explains why he chased the position in Humboldt.

"What intrigued me about it is there is a big trend in golf, a lot of golf courses are going to managers. I think I bring the complete package referenced to restaurant experience, golf experience and business experience and being from Moose Jaw it's only two hours away so I am positioned perfectly."

Kees took over the position after Cam Koskie held the post for the past four seasons.

He touches on some changes he will implement at the course.

"To bring change, more so in the restaurant to begin with. More consistent hours of operation, grill hours from 7am-3pm, a very minimal breakfast and lunch menu and bring some fundraisers to the golf club. Just bring some different thoughts and some creativity."

Kees is now at the clubhouse full time and memberships are available to purchase for the 2016 season.
