Logan Hofmann continued his dominant display of pitching on Sunday afternoon, as the Muenster Red Sox swept the Regina White Sox.

Hofmann took the mound for the first game of the doubleheader and quickly went to work, striking out the first six batters faced.

He struck out 11 of the first 12 batters before the White Sox were finally able to start to make some contact on the ball.

Leading 1-0 in the sixth inning, Regina broke up a no-hit bid from Hofmann with a triple into right field. That tied the game 1-1, with the runner from first scoring after being hit by a pitch.

The White Sox ran into trouble in the bottom of the 7th, loading the bases for Brody Frerichs, who on the first pitch faced, lined a single down the left field line for the game-winning hit.

That also gave Hofmann the win, as he pitched all seven innings, striking out 17 batters.

Hofmann now has a masterful 74 strikeouts to just seven walks over 35.1 innings pitched, while only allowing three runs.

Drew Bauml got the start in the second game, with a good outing of his own, pitching 5.2 innings in a 4-3 Red Sox win.

Muenster was able to take advantage of three White Sox errors in Game 2 to make up for only two hits in the game.

The Red Sox are now 16-2 on the season and will visit the Saskatoon Cubs on Monday night in a first place battle. The Cubs record is 12-2.

Muenster's next home action comes on Canada Day, when the Cubs make a return trip to Jubilee Memorial.
