The Midget AA Humboldt Broncos took three of four possible points over the weekend, as they hit the road for games in Warman and Saskatoon.

Saturday night in Warman, Humboldt took a 2-0 lead early in the second period on goals from Skylar Wallin and Maguire Scheidt.

Warman charged back to score three straight goals for a 3-2 lead midway through the third period.

Wallin scored his second goal of the game on the power play, with the final 10 minutes of regulation eventually leading to overtime.

The Wildcats scored with 2:06 left in the extra session to take the game 4-3.

On Sunday, a high-scoring game took place in Saskatoon, as the Broncos met the Steel.

Brett Simpson, Damon Vanderlinde, Dylan Lindal, and Brock Morrow each had two goals, with Scheidt adding one goal, as the Broncos took a 9-5 win.

Ryland Pronych picked up the victory in Sunday's game, which brought Humboldt's early season record to 3-0-1.

They host the Steel in a return meeting on Sunday afternoon, and will also welcome the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles on Saturday.

Also earning a majority of their points in two weekend games was the Bantam AA team, who took on Warman and Prince Albert.

Friday's game in Warman saw the Broncos jump out to a 3-0 lead on goals from Nolan Allan, Jackson Mark, and Kylynn Olafson.

After Humboldt made it 3-0, the two sides exchanged two goals a piece, with Dawson Barlage and Easton Ediger giving the Broncos a 5-2 lead through two period.

The third period saw much of the same, with a pair of goals for both teams. Mark scored his second of the game, with Griffen Helberg adding Humboldt's seventh goal, en route to a 7-4 win.

On Sunday, the Broncos visited the unbeaten Prince Albert Pirates.

After the Pirates scored the first goal of the game, the Broncos put home two straight goals off the sticks of Mark and Luke Stadnyk, to make it 2-1 through one period.

The Pirates took a 3-2 lead midway through the second, before Connor McGrath evened the game at 3-3 on a power play goal.

Prince Albert once again grabbed the lead early on in the third period, with Noah Barlage scoring a power play goal to make it 4-4 with 14:26 to play.

Despite a 13-2 shot advantage in the third period, the Broncos couldn't find the go-ahead goal, and a short overtime period would lead to a 4-4 final between the two teams.

Humboldt is 3-2-1 through six games, and will travel to Regina on Thursday for the start of the annual Graham Tuer Classic. Their next league game is October 28 at home to Saskatoon.

The Peewee AA Broncos were in Kindersley for a pair of games, taking on the West Central Wheat Kings.

A total of 38 goals were scored between the two games, with West Central winning both by scores of 14-7 and 11-6.

In Saturday's game, Bauer Dumanski had five goals for the Broncos, with Thomas Salter recording the other two.

On Sunday, the scoring was more spread out for Humboldt, with one goal each for Salter, as well as Cam Marshak, Ryland Martin, Rylen Sigstad, Edward Knitting, and Jackson Beggs.
