The early snowfall in September and cool wet weeks to follow not only affected the farmers, but also the golf courses.

The Humboldt Golf Course has had a dry spell during the season fall over the last few years. As a result, the Golf Club Board is meeting on November 7th to discuss possible options on financial problems.

Humboldt Golf Club just simply does not have the finances to make it through the winter due to a few lean years. The reason the golf course hasn't been making the desired amount of funds is because of the cold weather that has come early over the last few years. The board has a plan though said board member, Dave Hill.

"We are supported fairly well by the surrounding golf clubs and people coming to our tournaments. We'd like to see more of that though with more people coming to our tournaments, they are all quite popular there is always room for more."

Golf Club members are allowed to attend the meeting next Wednesday at the Humboldt Golf Club.
