The Humboldt Hammerheads Swim Team held their annual awards banquet Sunday night to honor some of the attitudes and achievements from the last season.  

Swimmers, coaches and parents gathered at the Community Gathering Place to celebrate the end of another successful year.  The annual general meeting was held, supper was served, and then it was time to get down to the awards.

The Hi Point awards are presented to the male and female swimmer who accumulated the most points throughout the season's competitions.

The Hi Point Female award honorable mentions this year were Jordan Nienaber with 154 points, and Charlize Parish with 187.5 points.  The award goes to Maya Berschied with 231 points.

The Hi Point Male award honorable mentions go to Jay Eichorst with 232 points, and Michael Carnago with 244 points. Justin Berschield was the Hi Point Male with a total of 267 points.

Most Dedicated Swimmer: Sabrina MacLean and Lauryn MacLean.

The Top Novice Award: Cuyler Brooks.

The Congeniality Award: Jay Eichorst.

The Guppy Award: Troy Dunne.

Most Improved Female 12 and under: Megan Brooks with an average of 11.99 seconds. 

Honorable mentions are Taryn Stock with a 10.35 second average, and Jordan Nienaber with a 10.56 average.

Most Improved Male 12 and under with an average of 14.2 seconds improved, is Jay Eichorst.

Honorable mentions are Chase Hall with an average of 8.77 seconds, and Gage Gosslin with a 9.35 second average.   

Most Improved Senior: Ryan Hinz.

Honorable mentions are Garret Brown with an average of 3.8 seconds, and Justin Berschied with a 4.65 second average.

The Coach’s Award: Taran Rangarajan.

The Developing Swimmer Senior Session: Janaya Gerwing.

Refining Senior Session: Lauren Hinz

The Family Award award: the Berschied family.
