The Medicine Hat College Rattlers' volleyball program has aquired one of Wakaw's best Warriors.

Back in January of 2020, Olivia Jacobson signed with the Medicine Hat College Women's Volleyball Program. The small community feel in Medicine Hat and the social work program at the college helped Jacobson make the decision.

"I visited five other colleges and volleyball programs so it was just figering out which of those was the right fit for me. It's definetly exciting," said Jacobson.

Jacobson was a true Warrior on the court, helping Wakaw claim back to back provincial championships in 2017 and 2018. In her final season in 2019, Jacobson found herself passing on her skills and knowledge to a young Warriors team while still making it in the top five.

"We didn't expect we were going to do that well, but we had a really good season. When it came to confrence and regionals, we won both, and ended up getting fourth in provincials."

The Wakaw School Graduate has been training with the help of her siblings in the backyard. Jacobson hopes to bring her positive mindset, workethic and skills to the Rattlers.

"I just hope I can run a good offence and be a positive impact on the court also."

Amid COVID-19, it's unsure if a season will even be launched in 2020. However, if there is a season, Jacobson will be ready to help the Rattler win in many different ways.
