It has been a perfect start at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship for Humboldt's Dustin Kalthoff and his partner Marliese Kasner.

The duo representing Canada ended the round robin with an unblemished record of six wins and no losses following a 13-1 win over Australia on Thursday morning.

Overall, it has been fairly smooth sailing thus far for the Canadians, with Kalthoff curling third among the men in shot percentage. Kasner is second overall for the women.

They outscored their opponents 65-14 in six wins, including a 12-2 win Wednesday over previously unbeaten China. Other games saw them defeat France 9-3, Ireland 8-3, Serbia 14-0, and their closest contest thus far was a 9-5 decision over Italy.

Now, attention turns towards the playoffs, where Kalthoff and Kasner are straight through to the quarter-finals, which will be played Friday morning.
