The hosts were the ones to hoist the gold at the Sr. Boys and Girls 1A Regional Soccer Championships on October 19th and 20th.
The Sr. Girls tournament took place in Middle Lake with the home team Avengers defeating Herbert to advance to the finals. They then beat Dalmeny in the finals to capture the gold. Meanwhile, the Sr. Boys Regionals took place in Lake Lenore where the host team Lancers also were victorious. They defeated St. Brieux to advance to the finals where they then beat Middle Lake to win the gold medal.
The 1A Provincial Championships will take place in the same two locations on October 26th and 27th.
