The Saskatchewan Hockey Association has announced rosters for the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games.

Taking place in North Battleford, the games run February 18 to 24.

The Prairie Central female team has the most representation from the area with seven players competing.

  • Lauren Hinz - Humboldt (Forward)
  • Kiana Leicht - Humboldt (Forward)
  • Bridgette Vedress - St. Brieux (Forward)
  • Drew Vipond - Humboldt (Forward)
  • Nicole Girolami - Humboldt (Defense)
  • Cassadi Klapak - Lanigan (Defense)
  • Sydney Martin - Watson (Goalie)

Leicht, Vedress, Klapak and Martin play for the East Central Fillies in the North Sask Female Hockey League's Bantam Division.

Girolami and Vipond are with the Saskatoon Chargers in the NSFHL's Midget AA league, while Hinz plays for the Bantam Humboldt Broncos.

The female tournament is from February 21-24.

On the male team, there is just one player from the area. Wadena's Castor Berezuik will suit up for Prairie Central when the male tournament kicks off on February 18.

Berezuik is in his first year of Bantam hockey, playing for Yorkton.
