In Saskatoon on Sunday, December 6th the Provincial Youth Challenge bowling championships took place with Humboldt and Kemway Lanes being very well represented.

16 year-old Dylan Manderscheid led the five local bowlers to a North Zone gold medal with a 262 average, he was the top male bowler which earned him a trip to the national championship in Winnipeg as a member of Team Saskatchewan.

The top three boys and girls from the event will attend nationals, unfortunately a couple other locals just missed. Sara Thiemann finished in a tie for third before losing in a tie-breaker, she was that close to going back to nationals for a second straight year. This will be third year in a row a Humboldt bolwler has competed at the national level.

The tournament is for bowlers aged 13 to 18.
