Gavin Ingram scored just over three minutes into the game, and the Midget AA Humboldt Broncos never trailed in a 4-2 win over the Prince Albert Chill.

The win gave Humboldt a 2-1 series win over Prince Albert in the quarter-final round of the Centre Four Hockey League.

A tightly contested game throughout most of the 60 minutes, Humboldt broke a 1-1 tie early in the second period, after Brett Simpson found the back of the net.

The Broncos would push the lead to 3-1 on the power play, as Daigon Elmy tipped home a shot from Austin Hilts.

Midway through the third period, Humboldt went on a five-minute power play after a charging major against Prince Albert.

Although they didn't score on the power play, the Broncos did find twine just a few seconds later, as Damon Vanderlinde put the game on ice with Humboldt's fourth goal of the game.

Prince Albert scored with five seconds left to get one last goal past Dawson Cochrane, who was strong in goal for Humboldt once again.

With the win, the Broncos advance to the league semi-finals, where they await either the Saskatoon Riverkings or North East.

The opponent is pending on the series result between top-seeded Warman and the Saskatoon Screaming Eagles. The Eagles evened the best-of-three series on Sunday night with a 6-2 win.

Game 3 in that series is on Tuesday.
