The Midget AA Humboldt Broncos picked up three straight wins from December 1-3.

Taking part in a northwest road trip, the Broncos took on the Unity Lazers on Friday night.

After taking a 2-0 lead through the first period on goals by Prescot Senger and Maguire Scheidt, Dylan Lindal added an insurance goal in the third period to help Humboldt to a 3-1 win.

Dawson Cochrane stopped 31 shots faced to pick up the win for the Broncos, who avenged an earlier loss to Unity at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

On Saturday, the Broncos visited Meadow Lake where Lindal got his team off to a quick start, scoring 44 seconds into the game.

Humboldt added three more goals in the first period, with Lindal getting his second of the game, and Damon Vanderlinde and Hunter Edmonds having the other tallies.

The Broncos paced themselves to a 9-3 win over the Stampeders, with Lindal adding two more goals for a four goal night.

Edmonds found the net two more times for the hat trick, while Senger had the other marker for Humboldt.

Ryland Pronych earned the win in net, making 26 saves.

Sunday's game at the Battlefords Barons saw another good start for Humboldt, who took a 2-0 lead through 20 minutes on a pair of shorthanded goals from Kody Perlett and Scheidt.

The Barons battled back in the second period to tie the game 2-2 through two before the Broncos took over in the third period.

Logan Stumborg scored with 13 minutes left, and the Broncos added a pair of goals in the final minute from Scheidt and Vanderlinde to skate to a 5-2 win.

Cochrane picked up his second win of the weekend in goal.

The three wins vaulted the Broncos to a three-way tie for first in the Centre Four Hockey League with Warman and Prince Albert.

They will finish out the month with four games at home, hosting the Saskatoon Sabercats on Saturday, and Beardy's on Sunday.

Meadow Lake visits Humboldt on December 16, and they host North East on December 21 to wrap-up the pre-Christmas schedule.
