Austin Hilts scored 26 seconds into overtime as the Midget AA Broncos completed a comeback to down the Warman Wildcats 6-5.

The Broncos scored first in the game after Damon Vanderlinde found the back of the net. However, Warman would score the next four goals to take a 4-1 lead early in the second period.

Morgan Gobeil and Hilts doubled down on a 5-on-3 power play to bring the Broncos back to within one before Gavin Ingram slipped a puck home with 22 seconds left in the period to make it 4-4.

After giving back the lead, Gobeil tied the game with 6:24 left in the third, eventually sending it to overtime where Hilts finished the game.

It was the second straight overtime win for the Broncos, who are now 5-1 on the season.

They travel to Meadow Lake and Turtleford on Saturday and Sunday.


The Midget A Broncos got two goals from Cole Edmonds in a 6-4 win over Lanigan.

Tayden Wallin scored just 11 seconds into the game, before Cody Bergermann made it 2-0 for the Broncos. Lanigan was able to reply with three straight goals to lead 3-2 after the first period.

Chase Under and Tarin Schreiner put Humboldt back infront, with Lanigan making it 4-4 through two periods.

Edmonds then found the net twice in 44 seconds to give Humboldt the lead for good.


In Melfort, the Bantam AA Broncos scored two goals in each period, as they downed the Northeast Wolfpack 6-4.

The Broncos got out to a 3-0 lead with goals from Nolan Allan, Kalen Ukrainetz and Maguire Scheidt.

Northeast deposited a pair of goals in 22 seconds, with Kaden Kohle making it 4-2 late in the second frame.

After the Wolfpack tied the game midway through the third period, Brett Fogg scored two goals, including an empty net tally to give Humboldt the win.

Through 12 games, the Broncos are 9-2-1 with 19 points.


The Peewee AA Broncos hosted the West Central Wheat Kings for two games in LeRoy.

In the first game on Saturday, Humboldt got down 3-0 after the first period before finding their offence in the last two frames for a 8-6 win.

Ty Sundholm, McLaren Paulsen and Nicolas Fiolleau each scored two goals with Ky Olafson and Bauer Dumanski adding the other markers.

On Sunday, it was a reverse fortune, as Humboldt led in the game, but gave up the third period, falling 11-6.

Paulsen had two more goals, with Sundholm, Dumanski, Chase Stevenson and Castor Berezuik scoring as well.
