Another road trip and another four points for the Midget AA Humboldt Broncos.

The Midget's were up north for a pair of games against Meadow Lake and Midwest.

On Saturday against Meadow Lake, Damon Vanderlinde kicked off what would be a highlight weekend as he made it 1-0 in the first period.

After Meadow Lake had tied the game midway through the second period, Morgan Gobeil deposited a power play marker to make it 2-1 Humboldt.

Gavin Ingram scored with 10:24 left in the third period as the Broncos picked up a 3-2 win. Dawson Cochrane earned the win in goal.

In Turtleford on Sunday, the Broncos made it a little easier on themselves, taking a 7-2 decision over the Midwest Redwings.

Gobeil would score the first goal just over one minute into the middle frame, when Vanderlinde took over, scoring the next four goals in a span of six and a half minutes.

That gave Humboldt a 5-0 lead, with Austin Hilts and Brett Simpson adding third period markers. Ryland Pronych picked up the win in the Broncos net.

The Broncos, who are the two-time defending Centre Four Hockey League champions, are off to another solid start with a record of 7-1.

An unbalanced schedule has them in fifth place, but only three points out of second place with four games in hand.

Up next is one final road trip to Saskatoon and Unity on December 3rd and 4th, before they finally play their first game at the Elgar Petersen Arena on December 10.

In LeRoy, it was a goaltenders duel on Saturday, as the Bantam AA Broncos played host to the Saskatoon Outlaws.

It took until the third period for a goal to be scored on either side, as the Outlaws opened things up early in the period.

Griffen Helberg and Kalen Ukrainetz scored one and a half minutes apart for Humboldt, as they went up 2-1.

In the latter half of the period, the Outlaws scored on the power play to tie the game at 2's, and eventually send it to overtime.

Late in the third period, Saskatoon was tabbed for hooking, and that would prove to be the advantage needed for Humboldt, as Kaden Kohle scored the overtime winner with the extra man, earning a 3-2 win.

Derek Tarnowski stopped 30 shots for the victory.

On Sunday, another Saskatoon team stopped in LeRoy, as the Broncos welcomed the Stallions.

It was an up and down game for Humboldt, who scored the first goal of the game in the second period off the stick of Logan Stumborg.

The Stallions would score the next five, to take a 5-1 lead halfway through the third period.

Humboldt was determined to charge back, and that effort would begin when Ryder Klapak buried a power play goal with 9:06 left in the period.

Less than two minutes later, Kalen Ukrainetz brought Humboldt within striking distance at a two goal deficit.

The Broncos climbed within one goal with three minutes remaining after Kaden Kohle made it 5-4. Twenty-eight seconds later, the Stallions found themselves in trouble after a holding penalty.

Brett Fogg scored with the man advantage to bring the Broncos all the way back and tie the game 5-5.

That, however, would be shortly lived, as Saskatoon stunned Humboldt with two seconds left to earn a 6-5 win.

Humboldt is currently 10-3-1 on the season for 21 points and fourth in the SBAAHL's North Division, though they do have four games in hand on two of the teams above them.

The Broncos are off from league play until December 16, though they visit Prince Albert for a tournament from December 9-11.
