For the second day in a row, a soccer team from Humboldt Collegiate Institute won their league championship.

On Tuesday, the senior girls defeated Middle Lake to capture the title, and then on Wednesday, the senior boys downed Middle Lake to earn the Horizon Central pennant.

The Mohawks picked up a 5-3 win to hand a previously unbeaten Avengers team their first loss of the season.

Humboldt will now travel to Wilcox on Saturday to take part in SHSAA regionals. They take on Moose Jaw Central in the semifinal.

The two semifinal winners automatically advance to provincials, which is being hosted by Yorkton Sacred Heart for 2A boys.
