Fans bundled up on a cold and snowy day at Glenn Hall Park in Humboldt for the 3A 9-man Provincial Championship.

The Humboldt Mohawks were outplayed 55-16 by the Lumdsen Devils, taking that title home with them.

Mohawks Head Coach Cory Popoff says that despite the heartbreak in the final, the season was a tremendous success.

"To go through a season and not lose a game until the very last one is remarkable. It doesn't happen very often. Good job with our coaching staff, and of course our players, they played their hearts out this year and we're so very proud of them."

The last time HCI made the provincial final was 2014 in Clavet, which also ended with a loss. Mohawks last championship victory was in 2010.
