It was a weekend of travel and hockey for one local Humboldt team.

The Peewee AA Broncos attended the Paul Bunyan International Classic in Bemidji, Minnesota. The tournament has been running for 30 years and sees 16 teams compete for top spot.

The Broncos faired rather well for being on an international stage, winning 3 out of their 5 games.

They started off the tournament Friday by playing the Grand Forks Sea Wolves, that was a tough 9-1 loss for them.

They continued on to face Virginia, Minnesota, on Saturday and won that by a final score of 13-4.

Their next game saw them take on Theif River Falls, Minnesota and won that as well 5-4.

On Sunday, they faced Devil's Lake in the final, but unfortunately came up short, final was 5-2.

The Broncos played hard and represented Humboldt hockey on an international stage.
