The PeeWee AA Broncos are in search of more than just wins on the ice this year.

The Good Deeds Cup is an award that is handed out every year to a PeeWee hockey team that performs a good deed in their community.

The first step in the PeeWee AA Broncos goal is to host a bottle drive on November 17. Broncos defenseman Chase Sylvestre explains how this is just the start.

"We are looking to raise money to buy groceries and prepare a meal for the soup kitchen here in Humboldt."

Hockey Canada and Chevrolet will present the winning team with $100,000 towards the charity of their choice. Plus, a segment of Hockey Night in Canada dedicated to the winning team, along with a ceremony in their community, and the team name inscribed on the Good Deeds Cup.

"Hockey allows us to be good people on the ice, but also allows us to be good people in the community," said forward Karver Simoneau.

The deadline for entries is January 2, 2019. The 10 semi-finalists will be announced on January 26.
