Prairie Central will play for gold in men's hockey at the Saskatchewan Winter Games in North Battleford.

They skated to a 6-5 win over Regina in the final round robin game to clinch their spot in the final.

Prairie Central, which has Wadena's Castor Berezuik on the team, will take on Saskatoon in Wednesday's championship game.

Earlier in the round robin, PC defeated Parkland 11-0 and Lakeland 6-2.

The women's tournament begins on Thursday with seven Humboldt area players competing for Prairie Central.

Day 2 Results

Jayden Bindig's Wadena-based curling team bounced back from a 1-2 round robin record to defeat Parkland Valley 8-3 in a placement game.

The team of Bindig, Ethan Nygaard, Nathen Pomedli, and Humboldt's Braden Fleischhacker will take on Lakeland in the 5th place game on Wednesday.

Humboldt's Raya Wacker had a good showing in Gymnastics, where over three events she combined for 26.900 points to sit in fourth place.

The finals for the women's event come on Wednesday.

In Synchonized Swimming, Wynyard's Peyton Madigan finished 6th in the co-ed solo event, while Amelia Both and Raea Lamont were 7th in duet.

Humboldt's Ashley Hinz, Sabrina MacLean, and Katherine Possberg also competed on Day 2 of the swimming event.
