Jayden Bindig and his Wadena curling team are looking to the future following the provincial junior curling championship in Regina.

Bindig's team was unable to secure a win in their five games played, ending the tournament with no wins and five losses.

"We could let the frustration and disappointment get us down, but instead we choose to focus on going forward. We've pinpointed our barriers during this competition and are determined, as a team, to improve," the team stated on their Facebook page Saturday.

The team came in on a high, having been the first time to clinch a spot in provincials after winning a qualifying spiel.

Humboldt's Braden Fleischhacker plays second for the team.

Defending champion Rylan Kleiter of Saskatoon went on to win the men's championship, while Regina's Sara England - the daughter of curling legend Sandra Schmirler - won the women's title.
