Humboldt Broncos Captain Logan Schatz was honoured for a strong past month.

Schatz was named the SJHL's Player of the Month for December on Wednesday.

The 20-year-old led all forwards with four goals and 13 assists for 17 total points in nine games played throughout the month.

In his final season in the league, Schatz is among the league leaders in points this season, currently ranked third behind Estevan's Zach Goberis and Layne Young of the Battlefords North Stars.

The Allan product has established himself as one of the organization's all-time top players over four seasons.

Schatz has 51 points this season, and his 157 career points are the most by any Broncos player since the early 1990's.

The Broncos return from the holiday break on Friday when they visit Weyburn. Humboldt is in Estevan on Saturday.
