The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season will begin September 12th when the Humboldt Broncos play host to the Nipawin Hawks.

The game will be broadcast live on TSN/CTV at 7:30 p.m., the league announced Wednesday.

Eight other teams will begin their seasons on September 14, including a Kindersley-Battlefords tilt that features new coaches Brayden Klimosko (North Stars) and Clayton Jardine (Klippers).

The SJHL Showcase will be held September 23-26 in Warman.

The last game before the Christmas break will be December 22, with play resuming on December 28.

The second annual SJHL-MJHL Showcase will be played in Regina from January 13-15.

All teams conclude their regular seasons on or before March 5th.
