A new partnership agreement between the SJHL and SaskTel will see more SJHL games being broadcast, in turn, more exposure for the league.

The new agreement will see one SJHL game of the month broadcast live and On Demand on SaskTel maxTV and maxTV Stream and will start immediately for the remainder of the 2018/19 season.

"We have created a great opportunity to expose the athletes of the SJHL to scouts and to hockey fans across this province," said Bill Chow, President of the SJHL.

The agreement will kick off with the SJHL / MJHL showcase on January 14th and 15th taking place in Regina. In addition to being broadcast on maxTV and maxTV Stream, the January showcase will also be streamed live on SaskTel’s Facebook page.

“We’ve been a longtime supporter of the SJHL and we are very happy to now be their exclusive television broadcast partner. With games being broadcast live on both maxTV and maxTV Stream, we’re excited to bring some of the best junior hockey in the country to SJHL fans all across the province," said Doug Burnett, Acting SaskTel President and CEO.

Along with the SJHL / MJHL showcase and the game of the month, which will begin in January, the agreement between the two parties includes the broadcasting of the Canalta Cup.

More information regarding the games of the month will be released shortly, as per a news release from the SJHL.
