The lone Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League prospect to make the Canadian Junior Hockey League's top prospect game is from St. Brieux.

1998 born defenceman for the Flin Flon Bombers will travel to Surrey, British Columbia for the game on January 26th. He will be one of six rear guards on Team West.

In 22 games this season the Tisdale Trojan alumni has a goal and three assists.

Bombers Head Coach and General manager Mike Reagan said he is very proud of their 17 year-old rookie.

"We're extremely proud of him, it should be a real confidence booster for him. It's a good opportunity for him to showcase his talents to the NHL scouts, but also to Division 1 schools."

Thomas has a 98 per cent average in his Grade 12 studies and also recently posted a 1640 score on his first writing of the SAT exam.
