Sledge hockey has become a pursuit of two Humboldt Broncos who became paralyzed during the April 6th bus crash.

Goalie Jacob Wassermann and Defenseman Ryan Straschnitzki will take part in a small exhibition game in Denver with a group of disabled veterans and U.S. national players on Friday. The game will be played during the intermission of an NCAA game between Denver and Providence.

Dawg Nation Hockey is a Denver based foundation to help people associated with the sport of hockey. The foundation sponsored the trips for both Wasserman and Staschnitzki so both players could play in the game. At the age of 18, Wasserman was paralyzed from the waist, while Staschnitzki,19, was paralyzed from the chest down after the Broncos bus crash.

While in Denver, the two newest sledge hockey players will also be taking part in the puck drop between the Colorado Avalanche and the Dallas Stars at Saturday night's game.
