In a battle of unbeaten teams, the Saskatoon Hilltops hosted their provincial rivals from Regina on Saturday night.

A tightly contested first half saw the two sides locked at 14-14 before rain settled in for the rest of the night, which seemed to ignite the Hilltops.

Saskatoon outscored Regina 21-3 in the second half, claiming a 35-17 win to remain undefeated at 4-0.

Humboldt's Drayke Unger, one of the team's five starting offensive linemen, scored on a one-yard plunge late in the fourth quarter for his third career touchdown. Unger moves to fullback along with another HCI grad, Dillon Buckle, on short yardage situations.

Unger's efforts upfront with the rest of the o-line allowed second-year running back Logan Fischer to have a career day, rushing for 293 yards.

Buckle contributed a pair of tackles in the win. Connor Guillet, a strong special teams player for the Hilltops had the game's opening tackle, flying down the field and laying a big hit on the Thunder returner.

Brothers Tyrell and Tristan Hering are also members of the Hilltops. Tyrell has five tackles and a sack on the year, while Tristan, in his rookie season, has one tackle.

Wynyard's Josh Doidge, a member of the Winnipeg Rifles, picked up three special teams tackles on Saturday night, as the team earned it's first win of the year - a 40-30 decision over the visiting Calgary Colts.
