It was another solid showing on the pitch for the Under-14 Humboldt Hurricanes.

They brought home the silver medal from Saskatoon's Harder Avalon Classic tournament.

The Hurricanes went 2-1 in the round robin, defeating Lakewood Thunder by a 5-2 margin before falling 5-1 to Yorkton.

In their final game they downed the SUSC Warriors 4-0 to finish second in the pool and book a spot in the semi-finals.

A tightly contested 2-1 win for the Hurricanes in the semis over Flin Flon would put them in the Gold Medal game in a re-match against Yorkton.

Humboldt was unable to turn their fortune in the re-match, falling 8-1 to finish in second place.

They are back in the Bridge City June 17-19 when they take part in the Eastside tournament.
