Broncos' forward Chris Van Os-Shaw has been named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Rookie of the Week.

The 18 year-old has multiple point games in four straight since coming over in a trade from Weyburn for Jarrett Fontaine.

The Regina product notched 3 goals and 3 assists in a pair of games this past week. He netted a hat trick on Tuesday against Melfort in his home debut and then he added a couple of helpers in Saturday's game against Yorkton.  

Overall, he has 11 goals and 9 assists in 28 games split between the Red Wings and Broncos.

The Broncos also announced an upcoming event this week along with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

From 4-6pm on both Wednesday and Thursday kids can go bowling with members of the team.

For $10 a child gets one game of bowling at Kemway Lanes, they will also get a Broncos game ticket and a child's meal from Johnny's Bistro.

Players will be available for pictures with the kids as well.
