Humboldt Broncos goaltender Jacob Wassermann is in consideration to be the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Top Rookie.

Wassermann is one of three finalists announced on Wednesday for the award.

The Humboldt product has posted a 14-8-2-2 record in his debut season with a 2.67 goals-against-average and a .907 save percentage.

Others nominated for the award are Cade Kowalski of the Weyburn Red Wings and Calvon Boots from the Flin Flon Bombers.

Kowalski has nine goals and 42 assists for 51 points on the year, while Boots, a defenseman, has tallied 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points this season.

Finalists are determined through voting done by SJHL coaches, who submit one nominee per division.
