Humboldt Broncos goaltender Jacob Wassermann has been named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Goalie of the Week.

Wassermann started three games during the week with wins over Kindersley (Oct. 18) and Melville (Oct. 20). 

In total, the Humboldt-born rookie stopped 70 of 76 shots faced in the three games and posted a 1.92 goals-against-average and a .921 save percentage.

On Tuesday night, Wassermann picked up his 7th win of the season in his 7th straight start, helping the Broncos to a 7-4 win over the Klippers.

For the season, the 17-year-old is 7-3-1, with a 2.56 GAA and .913 save percentage.

His seven wins is ranked second in the SJHL behind Melfort's Evan Plotnik.
