Wynyard Minor Hockey will have two new banners hanging up in the rafters.

Both the Bantam and Peewee teams ended the season with provincial championships and were able to do it in unique style.

On Sunday, both teams were able to end the season at home, with the Bantam team knocking off Carrot River 8-6 to win provincials.

The Peewee team defeated Eastend 4-3 to claim the title.

According to the Saskatchewan Hockey Association, it is the first Bantam provincial championship for Wynyard since 1987, and the first Peewee title since 2013.
