The Bruno rink got a major boost on Sunday afternoon from the Bruno Credit Union.

$100, 000 was donated to the Bruno rink during the Broomball tournament this weekend. The money is going towards new artificial ice in the Bruno skating rink.

$380,000 is the amount needed to make the necessary upgrades. The rink has received a good portion of money from other organizations throughout the local area.

"Before today we raised $36,000 but with the $100,000, that brings as a third of the way to our financial goal," said Jenna Hale, member of the artificial ice committee project.

The commitee hopes to get the new ice in by October 2019.
