A fundraiser on Monday night in Humboldt for a local woman diagnosed with a rare disease is now going ahead as a "celebration" of her life.

Nina Schidlowsky passed away Wednesday at the tender age of 22.

Any funds still raised during the event will go towards the Nina Schidlowsky Family Trust.

Tickets are just $20 and are available by calling Dave Atamanchuk at 231-8559, they are also available at Diamonds of Detroit, Johnny's Bistro, Monico Cresting, Thrifty Market, Scotiabank and Universal Sports.

Cocktails begin at 5:30, supper is 6:30.

The banquet has been relocated to the Legion in thanks to the undeniable support from the community. They are nearing a sell out even with the larger venue.
