Pavement replacement and road reconstruction for 13th Street is set to start Thursday, the City of Humboldt says.

Brockman Enterprises will start removing the existing road structure from 11th Avenue to the north end of the road and replace it with compacted road base gravel.

As a result, there will be no parking along 13th Street and no vehicle access to 13th Street garages during the project.

REACT will continue with the scheduled garbage and recycling pickup but residents are asked to place their containers in front of the house one day before scheduled pickup.

The project should take one or two weeks with concrete curb and sidewalk spot repairs to follow.

The road is scheduled to be paved later this summer.
