The 2018 year is coming to a close, and that means it is time to take look back at what was accomplished and what's to come for local businesses in 2019.

Safe Communities Humboldt's year was a successful one, but not met without a couple challenges along the way.

Shari Hinz, Executive Director with Safe communities Humboldt talked about how their year went.

"We were proud to highlight volunteer and community partners through our annual Ambassadors for Safety awards in February, as well host our first annual meeting as a registered non-profit organization back in March."

She went on about the importance for students, and how the April 6th crash affected their organization.

"Well due to the events of April 6th, we choose to postpone our 2018 Party Program Days to May and June of 2019, when we plan to run 4 program days for those who couldn't attend in 2019," said Hinz.

She noted that 2019 will see many new things coming into play for the organization and that they will be very busy in the near future.
