The annual meeting for next year's city budget has been scheduled for Humboldt.

Monday night, at Humboldt City Hall, the council decided to meet on December 20th at 2 PM at City Hall to discuss the 2019 budget. In past years, the meeting has lasted five to six hours.

The meeting is open to the public as council will discuss the changes that need to be made to account for any expenses.

"Generally what we do is we have the budget proposed in front of us and we go through it by each department and council can ask questions why certain numbers are present," said Mayor Rob Muench on the meeting agenda.

Most of the traits on this year's budget will be carried over to next year because the council has a good idea of what it costs to run the city each year. The end goal is to get the budget completed before Christmas.

Council would like the public to Email their concerns or questions before December 17th to info@humboldt.ca
