Music can bring many people together for a great cause.

On Saturday, February 8 at the Annaheim Hall, 40oz Philosophy put on a live concert. For thirty-five dollars, people could enjoy music, food, beverages, fifty-fifty and a silent auction.

"Just to have this big event at the backend of the fundraising is just to bring the community together and have a lot of fun," said Annaheim Playground Committee Member, Christine Roberts.

The playground committee has been working hard for the past three years to raise money for a new playground at Annaheim School. The initial goal was to raise one hundred twenty-three thousand dollars to purchase the new equipment.

"We just recently made it to about one hundred thousand dollars, so we have a little more money to raise and we are right there," said Roberts.

Annaheim School's current playground is a twenty to twenty-five-year-old wooden structure.

"Once a week have kids asking when the new playground is coming so they are excited about this new build."
