6 strings, 16 faces and hours of dedication for the beloved Humboldt Broncos.

A Takamine guitar embedded with hand-drawn portraits of the 16 Humboldt Broncos who passed away on the April 6th bus crash, will be played and then auctioned off at the Humboldt Jersey Gala in St. Albert, Alberta on October 26th.

Smitty Kingston, a musician from Kingston, Ontario and singer/songwriter of Sticks Out By The Door, a song that was written in memory of the 16 Broncos that passed away on April 6th, came up with the idea to have the guitar made. Spearheading the plan, Kingston received the guitar from Ardens Music, a locally owned music store in Kingston, ON. He then went to a friend, Andrea Dedrick, who is an artist. Dedrick hand drew the 16 Humboldt Broncos player portraits and Mark Stephens was the graphic artist who created the layout to be heat-pressed right into the guitar.

"There are over 100 hours put into this guitar. I got the guitar two and a half weeks ago, from Ardens Music, then sent it over to Andrea. She was working on the portraits for a few weeks prior day and night, right until she got the guitar, and Mark spent many hours printing it out. I haven't actually seen the finished product yet. I fly out to Edmonton tomorrow where ill get to see it and play it," said Kingston.

The guitar made its way to St. Albert, AB where Kingston will perform Sticks Out By The Door, using the guitar, before it is live auctioned off during the Humboldt Jersey Gala.

The Humboldt Jersey Gala is an event In honor of Jaxon Joseph, Stephen Wack, Conner Lukan, and Logan Hunter. 4 Humboldt Broncos from St. Albert and the surrounding area.  The goal of the Jersey Gala is to raise in excess of $500,000 to put toward a scholarship fund that will produce four annual scholarships, as well as other memorial sites in memory of the 4 boys. It will be hosted by Ron Mclean and is attended by other special guests including Peter Mansbridge being the special keynote speaker.

Kingston has been playing and performing for 25 years. He wrote Stick Out By The Door which is available for download on iTunes with 100% of the proceeds going to the Humboldt Broncos.
