It was back on August 19th that the Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament took place at the Humboldt Golf course to raise funds for the Humboldt Broncos.

After weeks of finalizing the money raised, The Humboldt Broncos organization received a $95,000 check at the Elgar Petersen Arena before the Broncos took on the Notre Dame Hounds on October 12th. Laurie Warford, Administrator for the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament trust, presented the check on behalf of Jared Bednar, Head coach of the Colorado Avalanche, and Brian Munz, play-by-play announcer for the Winnipeg Jets.

Warford, Bednar, And Munz organized the tournament together after the bus crash on April 6th. The money was raised through sponsorships, silent auctions, live auctions, and golfers at the tournament. Some of the items at the tournament being auctioned off were sports jerseys, Broncos merchandise and much more.

"It was humbling, to say the least, Laurie, Jared, and Brian put a lot of effort into this event for the organization, and I know they weren't expecting it to be that high and I wasn't either, but we are grateful and thankful for all the sponsors, everybody that showed up. It was a great day, it was a fun day and we're just very grateful for what they've done," said Humboldt Broncos President, Jamie Brockman.

There will be another Memorial Golf tournament next year for the Humboldt Broncos on August 24th as Laurie Warford stated preparations are already being made.
