A mid-October warm-up is on the way for the Humboldt area.

Starting Monday, conditions will rise well above normal for this time of year, according to Meteorologist Drew Lerner.

"Temperatures are going to be balmy for this time of year over the next couple of days," he explained. "Expect to see temperatures running mostly in the teens across the region."

Daytime highs typically hover around 9 to 10 degrees for this time of year in Humboldt, with most of the week sitting between 13 and 19 degrees.

Lerner does note that things will slightly cool down mid-week.

"This frontal system will bring with it a chance for rain, but it will be very quick moving and bring plenty of wind behind it as well, so be aware of that."

With the quick moving front, Lerner says we could see even warmer weather than Monday and Tuesday.

"Behind the system, there will be some lighter winds and some returning warmer weather to the region. Temperatures should be very quick to warm up as we leave Wednesday and enter into Thursday."

Last October, Humboldt only saw two days in the double digits and was blasted by an early snowstorm. Although November was a bounce back month, posting above seasonal weather for most of the month.
