Allan's Sherri Usselman has been interested hunting since she first picked up a bow when she was five. That followed by her getting her hunter safety course at 12 which was proceeded by trips across the world.

She is now hoping to land one of the six final roles in the internet show 'Extreme Huntress.'

Usselman is one of 20 semi-finalists vying for a spot after her entry essay was approved by the judges. She explains what will happen in the next six days of the contest.

"We've been given the month of May basically to promote ourselves and get online votes and support from our friends, family and I guess the general public."

Usselman is the only Saskatchewan contestant. As of press time on Wednesday afternoon she had collected 569 votes which leaves her in fifth place.

You can vote for Usselman here. The votes aren't the only factor that goes into the final call for the six that will move on.

Usselman explains what's next if in fact she does make the cast.

"It's a week long skills competition. Every week there is a six to nine minute episode that's viewed online and then the viewers vote for who they think should have won each particular episode."

She said they expect to hear as early as June 2nd whether or not she is going on to the next level which includes flying to Hondo, Texas for tapings.

The Extreme Huntress competition is about preserving outdoor heritage. The goal is to create positive role models for women who want to participate in hunting.
