Aquatic Centre is looking to get a new air handling unit in the year 2019.

City council authorized to develop engineering drawings and tender ready documents estimated at $40,000. Humboldt's Mayor, Rob Muench stated that the old system is worn out and reached its life expectancy after the pool has been running for about 20 years.

Engineering is taking place to find the best options for what unit is needed to improve the facility. With the fix on the air unit coming in 2019, the staff of the aquatic center can be prepared and not be rushed into the process.
