New year, new weather.

The coldest days of 2017 have passed in the Humboldt area, bringing more seasonal conditions behind it.

Environment Canada wiped out the extreme cold warning Monday, which had been on and off for a series of eight days.

The polar vortex had brought raw temperatures of -30 to the area, with the wind chill knocking it down to near -50 at night.

Sunshine will remain in the area, but warmer temperatures are arriving as of Tuesday, with single minus highs expected for the bulk of the week.

Snow enthusiasts, however, won't be as pleased, as there is little - if any - snow expected throughout the week.
