Following a spell of above seasonal weather, which included some melting, the mercury is once again dropping back into the cold zone.

John Paul Cragg, a regional meteorologist with Environment Canada, says that colder air is coming down to the province.

"As temperatures start to drop, we have that arctic air sinking down into Saskatchewan with high's around minus-10 to minus-15 and lows getting down to minus-20."

Temperatures won't be all that much colder than seasonal, falling within the two to four degree mark lower. It's the wind that will make it feel like typical Saskatchewan weather, with temperatures feeling in the minus-30 mark.

Despite the cold, that is all we can expect to see for most of the early February days, according to Cragg.

"There's not a lot of snow in the forecast. Generally, we are in a pretty dry pattern right now, so don't expect a lot of precipitation over the next week."

We may see some light flurry activity, but nothing major to note.
