A mountain of toys was the goal and Everest was created.

December 7th and 8th were Toy Days at Canadian Tire in Humboldt.

Shoppers were encouraged to purchase a toy and donate it to the toy mountain to help out the less fortunate families this holiday season.

Lisa Selinger with the Kinettes talks about the overwhelming support that she felt from the community.

"The Kinettes are so very appreciative of everyone's help. The adopt-a-families, Tremblay Electric, The Bolt for getting it out there and letting it be known for two days, that was awesome, Canadian Tire. We all work together for one thing and great things can happen."

Over the two days, a mountain of toys grew and grew.

End of the first day!

Tremblay Electric was matching toy donations and delivering the toys to the Christmas Cheer headquarters at the end of the two days and when Selinger saw the number of toys she was amazed.

"To see all of the toys and whatnot that was collected and that they matched it was an awesome feeling, just that everyone was coming together in the community for people less fortunate."

The two-day campaign was most definitely a successful one, "It was literally a mountain of toys. It covered two full tables and it was heaped."

The end of the two days and this is what we have before the matching of donations!

The Kinettes will be helping over 40 families this holiday season.
