UPDATE: During the altercation, the suspect's mask did come off and the RCMP have released a composite image.

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28 2017, Humboldt RCMP with assistance from Lanigan RCMP responded to a reported armed robbery at a business in Watson, SK.

An employee and a bystander had been sprayed with bear-mace by a lone suspect who went on to take property, including a purse containing an undisclosed amount of cash as well as debit and credit cards. The suspect then fled the scene, however no vehicle or direction of travel was observed.

The two people who were bear-sprayed were treated at the scene by local EMS and released.

Humboldt RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. He is described as:

- An adult, Caucasian male
- 5 ft. 9 or 10 inches tall
- Brown hair
- Wearing a white t-shirt, dark hoodie and a mask over his face
