Beginning Wednesday and lasting a month the Humboldt and District Art Gallery has a new exhibit on display.

Cultural Programmer Nicole Myker talks more about the exhibit and it's launch.

"We have the opening reception for 'St. Peter's College Fine Arts Department Exhibition' and it's drawings and paintings from Clint Hunker and Grant McConnell's classes so it's mostly students."

The doors open at 7 o'clock, the program begins at 7:30.

Myker says this as always a highlight for the gallery.

"I do believe it's gone on for more than three years, possibly four and we look forward to future exhibitions of the students work to as well. It just showcases various levels of artistic abilities that we have here in the surrounding area of Humboldt."

The Saskatchewan Writers' Guild is also involved. There will also be readings from Barb Langhorst, Tara Solheim, Shelly Banks, David Carpenter and Caelan Reilly to go along with the program.

It's free of charge.
